Homeless Grants in Cenla

More than a half-million dollars is provided for homeless programs in Central Louisiana; the grant was spearheaded by the Central Louisiana Homeless Coalition.

The Cenla Chemical Dependence Council receives more than 0,000 for its supporting house program, and a similar program at Volunteers of American receives almost 0,000.

Some $131,000 goes to Hope House for transitional housing, almost $60,00 to the coalition and some $37,000 for the Olive House run by Innercity Revitalization.

This money is provided through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
