Holiday Art Camp Features Mardi Gras Beads
Students are home until Tuesday and some are suffering from cabin fever.
The Alexandria Museum of Art is offering a holiday art camp to kids ages six to 12. It’s called “Bead It” because the medium of choice is recycled Mardi Gras beads.
It’s amazing what can be made with these so-called throws. In fact, the art works are almost like mosaics.
Following the tradition of Mardi Gras, the kids are asked to “Glue me something, mister.”
The museum also offered a holiday camp over Christmas. This camp continues through tomorrow from nine until noon.
