Great Mother’s Day Canoe Race

Riverbend Canoe Rentals will host their 2nd annual Great Mother’s Day Canoe Race on the Sabine River on May 11, 2014. The race will begin at 3 pm at the Burr’s Ferry Bridge and the finish line will be Riverbend Canoe Rentals in Evans, LA — last year’s winner made it in about one and one-half hours.

Entry fees are $60 per team and include canoe and life jacket rental. Every contestant will get a T-shirt and trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places with cash prizes based on a percentage of the entry fees.
