Grant Parish Plant to Bring New Job Opportunities
A $265 million investment is headed to Pollock. A European firm is buying the idle Vanguard Plant to turn it back into an ammonia production facility.
State officials say nearly 560 construction jobs will be created and when the plant is on-line there will be around 85 new jobs available.
Officials say it’s good news for this small Grant-parish town.
Construction is expected to start in the second quarter of 2016 and is expected to last for two years. Once completed, the plant will produce and ship more than 500,000 tons of ammonia per year.
