Fund Set Up for 9 Children Orphaned by Murder-Suicide
A fund has been set up for the nine children left orphaned by a murder suicide in Opelousas.
On July 4th, police say Kerry Varis shot his wife Nancy at a family gathering on West Prudhomme Street. Witnesses say he then turned the gun on himself.
The fund is set up at the Opelousas Saint Landry Bank as the 9 Orphans Fund.
