Fugitive Wanted in Texas Arrested in Alexandria

Agents with the Attorney General’s FAU arrested 32-year-old Christopher Pryor at an Alexandria business and booked him into the Rapides Parish Jail, where he is awaiting extradition to Texas.

The Fort Bend County, Texas Sheriff’s Office reached out to members of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit at a Crimes Against Children conference in Dallas earlier this month for assistance in locating Pryor, who was believed to be living in Louisiana.  Through the initiation of a fugitive investigation, agents successfully located Pryor living at 2985 McKeithen Street in Alexandria.

“This is yet another example of the importance of working with law enforcement agents across state lines to successfully locate and capture child predators,” Attorney General Caldwell said. “These vile offenders often hop from place to place looking for their next victim.  Through swift investigative work, this dangerous man is behind bars and cannot harm another innocent child.”

Caldwell created the FAU in 2008 to assist local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies with locating and apprehending fugitives from justice. Since its inception, the FAU has captured 1,242 fugitives, clearing 2,886 warrants.
