Forum is Held to Discuss Huey Long Hospital

Supporters of Huey Long Hospital meet to talk about their options. The historic hospital was shuttered a week ago.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has been turning over the so-called charity hospitals to public private entities run locally by Cabrini and Rapides Regional Hospitals.

But, one of the attorneys fighting the closure says it’s not over yet.

A Baton Rouge judge has ruled the state senate violated the open meetings law when it voted to close down the hospital in Pineville. The state is appealing that decision.
