Fort Polk Makes Plans for Future

Fort Polk is looking into the future – far into the future.  The first of what are called Vision Workshops was held this morning for members of the Fort Polk and neighboring communities.  They’re sharing their visions of what the historic base and its surrounding support communities will be like in years to come.

There will be other workshops and other opportunities to share in this effort.

Many have seen Fort Polk develop from a major training and jumping-off point for Vietnam to its current role in the global war on terror where it’s now home of the Joint Readiness Training Center.
