A trip to the Central Louisiana Food Bank inspires some residents to make a special donation.

Residents of Our Lady’s Manor on Monroe Street had visited the Food Bank to volunteer and were so taken with one of the programs, they decided to create their own fundraisers to help out with one project they especially like.

It’s the backpack effort, when foods are stuffed into these carry-alls for children to take home on weekends, so they don’t go hungry on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our Lady’s Manor residents combined a variety of fundraisers to come up with the money for this donation.
