Firefighters Take Safety Message to Schools This Week
Firefighters are taking their safety messages to schools this week. They’re using a fire-safe house to teach children what to do when they awake to the smell of smoke in their home.
Today, they were at Cabrini School, demonstrating what to do and how to stay safe.
This is Fire Prevention Week and firefighters are trying to emphasize the need for working fire alarms. They say it doesn’t matter if there are alarms in your home, unless the batteries work, and the devices are not defective.
