Edwards Faces Democrats, Republicans, Libertarian in 6th District

voteIn the sixth congressional district in the Baton Rouge area, democratic candidate and former Governor Edwin Edwards cast his vote this morning. Edwards voted at the Ward Five Fire Department in Gonzales.

The Democrat is trying to make a political comeback after serving time in federal prison.

Edwards faces two other democrats vying for Bill Cassidy’s seat, Richard Lieberman, and Peter Williams. Eight Republicans (Robert Lamar Bell, Dan Claitor, Norman Clark, Paul Dietzel II, Garret Graves, Craig McCulloch, Trey Thomas, and Lenar Whitney) and a Libertarian (Rufus Holt Craig, Jr.) are also running.
