DOTD to Host Public Meeting

The Department of Transportation and Development will host a public meeting to discuss the upcoming construction of a roundabout in Winn Parish at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 84 and La. 34.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, June 25, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. At the East Winnfield Church located at 6586 Hwy 34 in Winnfield.

DOTD representatives will be present to provide information and answer questions about the project. This project will involve constructing a roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 84 and LA 34, which is located just east of Joyce in Winn Parish. Roundabouts are an innovative and cost effective tool that increase safety, improve traffic flow and enhance the aesthetics of an intersection. A formal presentation will begin at 6 p.m. The meeting will inform the public and elected officials in advance of the plans in order to obtain their input.
