Director of a Non-profit Arrested for Theft

Sheriff Sam Craft announces the arrest of Samuel Kincade age 53 of Leesville. Mr. Kincade was the Director of a non-profit organization which dealt with improvements over the historic downtown area of Leesville.

Board members recently discovered discrepancies in some of the banking records and contacted the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.

An immediate investigation was conducted and Detectives with the VPSO determined that monies from the Friends of Main Street account were unaccounted for.

 The investigation resulted in the arrest of Mr. Samuel Kincade. Mr. Kincade was arrested on Friday August 28, 2015 and booked into the Vernon Parish Jail for one count of theft.

 Based on the aggregate amount of the theft, the offense Mr. Kincade was charged with is considered a felony according to Louisiana law. Mr. Kincade’s bond was set at $5,000.00.
