Deputies Solve Night Deposit Robbery Case

class=”aligncenter size-full wp-image-39135″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/NightDepositRobbery.jpg” alt=”NightDepositRobbery” width=”500″ height=”231″ />On July 21st, 2014, officers with the Lecompte Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Red River Bank Branch in Lecompte.  While making the night deposit, an employee of the Burger King restaurant was surprised and robbed of the deposit by two suspects.  When the officers arrived, the suspects had fled the area.

The Lecompte Police Department requested assistance from the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Detectives responded to conduct their investigation.   During the investigation, Detectives were able to develop information which led them to the identification of the suspects.

Detectives determined a third suspect, identified as James Dyess, Jr. of Lecompte, was involved in both the planning and the execution of the crime.  Dyess, an  employee of Burger King, was located and arrested on July 30th.  Detectives obtained warrants on the other two suspects identified as Stanley Brown Jr. and Jason Singleton and they were taken into custody without incident on July 31st.

All three suspects were charged with 2nd Degree Robbery and are currently being held in the Rapides Parish Detention Center  with a bond set at $250,000 each.
