Dept. of Insurance Holds Annual Conference
The Louisiana Department of Insurance held their annual health care conference today at the Crowne Plaza in Baton Rouge. Nearly 500 people from all over the state attended the conference.
The main issues were budget cuts to health care and the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the state. Insurance Commissioner Jim Donelon spoke about the Affordable Care Act.
There are currently 184,532 people in the state enrolled in the federal healthcare system.
