Combat Support Hospital on Display at Fort Polk

It’s the 115th combat support hospital and it’s used during battles to save service members and foreign nationals. These combat hospitals have come a long way from the days of M.A.S.H., but the goal is the same, to save lives.
From the outside this looks like a complex of tents. But, inside there’s a set-up that provides a managed flow of wounded soldiers — from landing zones, emergency care, operating rooms to intensive care.
Battle experts say more soldiers are returning home despite serious wounds, and these combat hospitals are part of the reasons why.
