His departure will send him to a post in Baton Rouge to the main Vo-Tech headquarters. This means the board will need an interim chancellor to fill the position while searching for a permanent replacement.
Ellis was supposed to be the one to spearhead the new downtown campus. He arrived in February last year.
We tried reaching out to him for comment today, but no phone calls have been returned.
