Civic Clubs Gather for Lunch at LSUA
Once a year the many civic clubs in the Alexandria-Pineville area gather for a community lunch at LSUA.
Today, the group gathered to hear from Doctor King Alexander who is also the head of the LSU system. He’s the one grappling with budget cuts that in the last few years have cut millions of dollars from he LSU system. Most of those cuts have been passed on to students who are required to pay more for tuition. But he says he remains hopeful about the coming legislative session and what LSU can accomplish.
Doctor Alexander will be appearing before legislators soon to argue against massive cuts.
