City of Alexandria working on solutions for blighted properties

Alexandria Mayor Jeff Hall addressed the issue of blighted properties throughout the city today during his monthly state of the community. Hall says there’s at least 150 properties throughout the city that have been identified as blighted and he and his administration are working on solutions for these locations.

    Why was it not announced in the city Of Alexandria that my Great Grandma International Known Artist Dr. Clementine Hunter was recognized every October 1st in the State of Louisiana passed by the State House Of Representatives as Clementine Hunter Day ?

    My husband and i have been cuting the front of this property next to our house.The house is destroyed from vandalizam .I am afraid that one day it will fall down .We have a lot of children in the neighborhood that wants to play in this house.Several people have called about this and is told the samething over and over.we are out of funds.How do we go by to try and buy this property since we have been taking care of the front of it.The adress is on the left side of 5236 nroadmoor court.
