Citizens of Richard Remember Their “Little Cajun Saint”

People in south Louisiana are proud to call themselves “Saints Fans”.

But one group in Richard is hoping their “Little Cajun Saint” will one day be ranked among others in the Catholic faith.  Charlene Richard was only 12 years old when she died, but 54 years later, she’s still answering the prayers of the faithful.

And as KATC’s Alex Labat reports, some say even if Charlene isn’t a saint just yet, she will always be their angel.
