Chamber’s 100th Anniversary Celebration

***WEATHER UPDATE***
The Central LA Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its Centennial Celebration rain or shine. However, in the event of severe weather guests are asked to join the Chamber for an open house inside its office at 4:00PM and later at Conventional Hall inside Alexandria City Hall for a special ceremony and 100th Anniversary Reception at 6:00PM. If rain holds off the Chamber’s original planned events, including a parade, will take place. Please contact the Chamber if you have any questions.

4:00-5:30 pm Chamber Open House | Chamber Office | 118 Third Street Alexandria
Stop by. Meet our staff and 2014 Chamber Board and take a walk down memory lane by browsing through the Chamber timeline display and viewing a historic slide show.
5:45 pm Parade to Hotel Bentley (Weather Permitting)
Join the parade. A brass band will march with leaders, members and distinguished guests through downtown Alexandria, just as the founders did in 1914 to kick off the first Chamber Membership Drive.
6:00 pm Ceremony & Unveiling of Historical Marker | Hotel Bentley | 200 Desoto St.
Be a part of Chamber history. The Chamber and Central Louisiana officials will unveil a historical marker at the Hotel Bentley, where the organization was founded.
6:30-8:00 pm 100th Anniversary Reception | Conventional Hall | Alexandria City Hall
If there is heavy rain, the Chamber will hold a special ceremony inside Convention Hall at Alexandria City Hall leading up to the scheduled 100th Anniversary Reception.
Celebrate. A reception will take place at Convention Hall to provide an opportunity to reminisce with current and former Chamber leaders and guests. A photographer will take group photos.

What is happening with your station? Every time we start to watch something that is really important to us, the channel goes in and out, to black, to no sound. This seems to be happening more and more and a lot of people are becoming very frustrated. It was just be nice to know what is happening, to let your viewers understand the problem.
