Winter Weather Closes Schools, Roads

Central Louisiana is dealing with its 4th winter weather advisory in just a couple weeks.  Freezing temperatures and periods of freezing rain closed down schools today.

The state transportation department also shut down the elevated portion of Interstate 49 early this morning, but it is now reopened.  Drivers are still advised to be careful tonight and tomorrow.

And don’t call state police.  Your best bet is the web site 511LA.org for road conditions.
