Race For The Cure Registration Now Open

The CenLa Race for the Cure Committee is proud to announce registration is now open for the 2013 Race for the Cure to be held Saturday, October 19, in downtown Alexandria.  Participants are encouraged to register early for the race and join thousands of individuals committed to raising funds to support the fight against breast cancer.

Louisiana has one of the highest breast cancer mortality rates.  The funds raised by Race for the Cure participants are awarded to local organizations to provide screening, education, and treatment for uninsured women in our community.  Without the communities support and fundraising efforts hundreds of women each year would go without needed screening and support.
