CASA Volunteers Sworn in
The first child advocacy center volunteers are sworn in today in Rapides Parish.
Ten volunteers and their families attended the ceremony in the Rapides Parish Court House.
CASA assigns volunteers to follow children in the court system. These volunteers are trained to help the children understand the legal system, communicate with court officials, and make them feel comfortable when they testify before a court of law.
