Butterfly Release Today Symbolizes Organ Donors

A butterfly release took place at Rapides Regional today to symbolize the memory of loved ones who were donor heroes. Those who donated their organs and tissue at the end of their life were celebrated by family and friends with the release of the butterflies.

The Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency (LOPA) sponsored the release and today’s event is part of their national Donate A Life Month, which goes on the entire month of April.
