Book Sale At LSUA
ALEXANDRIA,
The first book sale is set for September 10-11 and the second will be held November 12-13.
The proceeds from the book sale go toward the purchase of library materials, physician equipment, and supplies. In addition, the funds will help sponsor educational events and to partially fund the professional development of library personnel.
In the past two years, the Friends have paid to have four chairs reupholstered, purchased 13 electronic books for LSUA nursing students, contributed $5,000 toward a library consultant who conducted a library study in Spring 2012, funded landscaping near the library building, and sponsored a lecture on Solomon Northup.
Both book sales will be on the LSUA campus in Oakland Hall, Room 109, from 10:00am until 6:00pm on all days.
Book Sale patrons will also get a chance to view a quilt which will be raffled off. The quilt was made by librarians Bonnie Hines, Debra Rollins (retired), and Nancy Radonovich (retired). The quilting was done by Sonie Milton.
