Boogie For The Bayou Raises Funds For Food Bank Of Central Louisiana

On November 30, Swamp Pop bands will come together to entertain guests in Paragon Casino Resort’s Mari Showroom. Beginning at 4pm Swamp Pop entertainers Louisiana Express, Johnnie Allan, T.K. Hulin, Willie “Tee”, Warren Storm & Cypress, GG Shinn and Tommy McLain will perform. Tickets are available for $15. Doors open at 3 p.m. Non-perishable food items will be collected at the door. First year commemorative Boogie for the Bayou t-shirts will be distributed to ticket holders who make a donation of a canned food item, while supplies last.
Proceeds benefit a different charitable organization each year. This year’s recipient is the Food Bank of Central Louisiana with funds specifically earmarked for the backpack program in Avoyelles Parish. The program is designed to meet the needs of hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as weekends and school vacations. The backpacks are filled with food that children take home from school on Friday afternoons to provide food for the weekend. For more information, visit fbcenla.org.
