Body of Missing 3-Year-Old Boy Found

MissingBoySearchThe search for a 3-year-old boy who fell into a creek Monday morning is over.  The body of Alden Dauzat was found this morning, just about 24 hours after the 911 call.

Authorities say the little boy and his parents, Bridgette and Jessie Dauzat, of Winnfield, were fishing in spillway creek when their son fell in and was swept away.

CreekDivers searched until the sun went down yesterday and resumed this morning.  The body was found about a quarter of a mile from where he fell into the water.

The search was a combined effort with more than a dozen agencies, as well as private citizens.

The sheriff says they believe the little boy slipped on a concrete structure and fell into the creek.

Family members kept a vigil at a nearby church.
