Basile Housing Authority ED Accused of Theft of Public Funds

State authorities issue a critical audit for the housing authority of Basile in Evangeline Parish.

The Louisiana Legislative Auditor says the housing authority’s executive director Anisa Richardson used almost eight thousand dollars in tenant fees over a two-year period for her personal use.

The investigative audit has been sent to criminal authorities.
