Bag of Donuts to Perform at Paragon

ParagonMARKSVILLE, La – Officials from Paragon Casino Resort are proud to announce that party band, Bag of Donuts, will be performing on Friday, May  23 at 8 pm in the Mari Showroom. Tickets are and are currently on sale.

Bag of Donuts is an outrageous party band that performs hits from the 60’s through today’s top pop charts. This collaboration of oldies with today’s pop hits is referred to as “Superpop.” The Donuts are a New Orleans based band and is known for their wild stage antics, outlandish stage costumes and strange renditions of popular songs. The group consists of funny-man and drummer- Kevin George, Kiss look-alike guitarist- Jonathon Hoerner-, the Joker bass player- Jerry Christopher and new comer, front line man-Bobby Hoerner. Formed in 1988, Bag of Donuts has been entertaining followers and New Orleans natives with their own versions and renditions of popular songs.

They have won numerous awards throughout their popularity largely in part due to their undeniable stage energy. In March of 1999, the Donuts released their debut album, “Glazed and Confused”, and in 2001 they released a live CD titled “Live in New Orleans” where they performed for a sold out show at the House of Blues. In January 2004, they were named best local band in New Orleans Magazine, and in 2012 they released their first original single, “Put Em Up.”

Bag of Donuts remains a vital part of the New Orleans music scene as they continue to play large festivals, clubs and major sporting events in the South.
