Avoyelles Deputies Arrest 5 Sex Offenders
Avoyelles Parish Deputies are cracking down on unregistered sex offenders and tonight five people are behind bars.
They include 33 year old Barry Burks of Texas, 57 year old Gerald Culpeper junior of California, 26 year old Anthony Gainyard from Marksville, 26 year old Jonnovan Jackson from Bunkie and 24 year old Jeremy Griffin from Calcasieu Parish.
The sheriff says his office keeps track of 126 active registered sex offenders and deputies often do compliance checks.
