Authorities Investigate Deadly Crashes from Weekend

18-year-old Eric Gordon is dead after a car crash yesterday afternoon. Troopers say he lost control of his pickup and hit two trees.

Also yesterday in LaSalle parish, 43-year-old Marcus Jones died after witnesses say he fell from the back of a truck.

And 61-year-old Paul McKeithen is dead after colliding with a car in an unrelated accident.

In Concordia parish, troopers say 24-year-old Roger Merrill died after a crashing on Saturday. Troopers believe impaired driving and excessive speed contributed to the crash. Investigators add Merrill was not wearing his seatbelt during the incident.

And Avoyelles Parish troopers say the drivers of two cars collided head-on at one in the morning on Friday. One victim is identified as 59-year-old Kenneth Davis of Deville.
