Area Agencies Receive Federal Grants
Area agencies are recipients of federal grants from the federal justice department.
The largest award goes to the Tunica-Biloxi Indian tribe in Marksville, more than a half million dollars to begin an alcohol and substance abuse program.
Smaller awards go to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, Natchitoches Police and the Saint Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
