APD Arrest a Woman in a Lab Coat on Drug Charges

The Alexandria Police department’s Street Team arrests a woman in a lab coat Wednesday night on a drug possession charge.

While on routine patrol, Police stopped Patricia Mertens in the area of South Harvard and Harris Streets for having an expired sticker.

They say she appeared very nervous; they ended up finding two baggies of marijuana in her bra, and some methadone pills in her lab coat.

Patricia Annette Mertens was charged with Expired Inspection Sticker, Expired License Plate, Possession of CDS II(Methadone) and Possession of CDS I(Marijuana).
