AMOA Opens New Exhibits

Two new exhibits are up at the Alexandria Museum of Art. One is the 27th Exhibition of the September Competition. This annual, juried contest among artists features original works selected by James Michaelopoulos of New Orleans.

And, Michaelopoulos himself has a show called Rapt in Color. He is well known for his New Orleans jazz festival posters. And, his works hang in the homes of some celebrities including Bruce Willis, Sharon Stone and Bonnie Raitt.

The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 to five and Saturdays from 10 to four.
