AMoA Hosts Annual September Art Competition

When it’s September in Alexandria, all artistic eyes are on the Alexandria museum.

It’s the 28th year for the September Competition at the Alexandria Museum of Art. This is a juried art show, which means many are called but few are chosen. From more than 180 entries submitted by artists nationwide, 49 have made the cut.

Other exhibits are on view during September. One is Our Fragile Home by Pat Musick and Jerry Carr. It portrays the feelings of astronauts as they looked down on Earth from space.

The museum is open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 to 5 and Saturdays from 10 to 4.
