AMOA Campers Learn to Create Original Artwork
Campers at the Alexandria Museum of Art are learning to create original art this week.
Kids ages six to nine are exploring the illustrations in award-winning picture books. And, they are creating their own artistic take on the books they like. Teachers say it gives them a new appreciation for these books, and there may be some future illustrators in the group.
The camp meets through Friday and older children are there in the afternoons.
