Alleged Animal Cruelty at the Cypress Arrow Cane Corso Training Facility in Lena, LA

Several videos have surfaced on Facebook and other social media on alleged animal cruelty happening at the Cypress Arrow training academy in Lena, Louisiana.
The video which has gone viral shows two trainers attempting to train a Cane Corso, The Cane Corso is usually kept as a companion dog or guard dog; it may also be used to protect livestock. In the past it was used for hunting large game, and also to herd cattle and is closely related to the Neapolitan Mastiff. Cypress arrow advertises itself as Louisiana’s largest Cane Corso breeder and an all-breed dog training facility. One trainer whips the dog on the top of the head and the dog is seen struggling. Eventually the dog complies and sits then lays down. The Cypress Arrow Cane Corso Facebook page has been removed and the website is down. The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying that their animal control section as well as the criminal investigations division are conducting a thorough investigation into the videos as well as their origin. So far they have received only one complaint from an owner about an animal in the videos but people from all over the country have reached out to them via phone calls and Facebook posts.
I’m all for an eye for an eye in matters of people abusing animals and children. Publicly so people learn that this is unacceptable.
Animal abuser need to get both min of 5 years in jail no early release, pay hefty fines and never be allowed to own any animals.

It is absolutely horrific and cruel what they are doing to those poor dogs. The people responsible need to be arrested, prosecuted AND put in jail for a long time!
Because this person is so high profile, I’m sure this investigation will be covered over because of political gain, monetary gain, or just plain, “it’s an animal.. why does it matter” mentality. Just one question… can you live with what is happening to those animals… and if you can.. You are already lost but I’ll still pray for you!

I really think you guys should air this worldwide media on like CNN and MSNBCI mean get it out to more video places especially more people in Louisiana because on Facebook there are multiple complaints of many people whose dogs have came home from there and were too afraid to even stand up…. I’ve called the Governor apparently he can do nothing I’ve called the Attorney General doesn’t seem like anybody gives any cares about animals in the state of Louisiana I’m going to go viral. This happens all over the state of Louisiana including with horses
This is not “alleged” cruelty, this is the most vicious attack on an animal I have seen, coming from a place that prides itself on being Best. All individuals should be prosecuted for Felony Abuse of an Animal

This is outrageous and needs to be put to a stop! I breed and train all my dogs! 6 in counting! And I have bullies known for there being “aggressive” and I’ve never seen a trainer do this practice before. I’m from Houston born and raised. With Houston being one the biggest cities this should be looked at.
