Alexandria Zoo Celebrates Zookeeper Appreciation Week
It’s Zookeeper Appreciation Week and the Alexandria Zoo is celebrating their staff.
Zookeepers are responsible for animal enrichment, training, cleaning, and feeding. Zoo Director, Lee Ann Whitt says it’s not unusual for them to go above and beyond their typical duties.
She says zookeepers are the heart of the facility.
The zoo is providing lunch all week for its keepers to honor their hard work.
