Alexandria will soon implement “Safe Syringe” program

Last month the Alexandria City Council unanimously voted on implementing a Safe Syringe program.  The program will allow drug users to exchange used needles for new, clean ones all while receiving counseling for substance abuse and testing for diseases transmitted through drug use.
