Alexandria Man Arrested for Manslaughter

Press Release – On January 24th 2015, APD Detectives arrested Marlonzo Trottie, 21 of Alexandria LA. and charged him with Manslaughter.

APD Officers were dispatched to the 2900 Block of Louis Street at 1:02 AM in reference to an unresponsive male lying in the street.  Upon arrival, officers located the subject and began accessing his condition.

EMS arrived shortly afterward and pronounced the subject deceased.  The scene was secured.  APD Detectives and Crime Scene were called out to assist.  Detectives worked throughout the night interviewing witnesses and processing evidence.

The investigation found that during a physical altercation between the victim and a female, Trottie became involved.  The victim was stabbed once during the altercation.

Marlonzo Trottie was later located and arrested without incident.

The victim is identified as Kenterric Martin 33 of Alexandria.

This investigation is ongoing and there are no other details available for release at this time.
