Alexandria could implement Needle Exchange program

The City of Alexandria is looking into implementing a “Needle Exchange” program that would take used syringes from drug users and provide them with new, clean ones.

Dr. David Holcombe, Medical Director and Administrator for the Office of Public Health in Rapides Parish, approached the Alexandria City Council last week about the program.
