Alexandria City Council Offers to Sell Coliseum Lot for $1.1M
With little fanfare, the Alexandria City Council scheduled an ordinance to sell the disputed Coliseum parking lot to the police jury for $1.1 million.
Authorities say no strings are attached, such as permitting the city to decide how the renovated Coliseum will be operated.
The Mayor was not present for the meeting.
It’s unclear how this proposal will work with an ongoing lawsuit in which the Police Jury says it shouldn’t have to pay any money for the parking lot.
