WWII Veteran Reunion Over the Weekend
Six World War Two veterans were in Alexandria this weekend for a reunion. The American Legion Post 3 hosted the veterans who served at Iwo Jima. The reunion had been in the works for some time, but the original organizer and member of the group passed away before it could happen.
The remaining members of the group swapped stories, remembered fallen comrades, and even signed some autographs.
The raising of the flag over Iwo Jima is one of the most iconic images of World War Two.
