Veterans Honored All Over Central LA

Veterans Day events are being held throughout our area in the coming days:

Creola, Friday at noon, Jena Choctaw Pines Casino
About 30 members of the Jena Choctaw Tribe will be honored.

VA Hospital in Pineville, Monday at 10am in the auditorium, followed by a parade and hot dog picnic.

Marksville, Monday at 10am, Avoyelles Veterans Monument on Hwy. 1

Alexandria, Monday at 11am, Veterans Memorial Plaza at City Hall

LSUA, Monday at noon, Quad
Students will plant flags on the Quad to honor veterans.

Alexandria City Park, Monday at 2pm, 4800 Masonic Drive
3 combat veterans will be honored as hometown heroes and a 30-foot flagpole on the site will be the first to grace one of the city parks.

Remember, it’s also a school holiday and many government offices will be closed.
