Vance McAllister Visits Central LA Today

Fifth District Congressman Vance McAllister is in town today.  He started the day with lunch in Pineville as a guest of the North Rapides Business and Industry Alliance.

McAllister is from the Monroe area and he won the seat formerly held by Rodney Alexander.

He spent the afternoon in Alexandria at a roundtable meeting with the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce.

He has said he wants to see a better business climate in the fifth district, which is one of the poorest areas in Louisiana.  It stretches from Monroe to south of Alexandria and is geographically spread over more than a dozen parishes.
