class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-46740″ src=”http://klax-tv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/dogcat.jpg” alt=”dogcat” width=”300″ height=”225″ />Prized Pets is a community project started by Ayden Thomas, a former student of Nachman Elementary and the 2015 5th grade Rapides Parish Student of the Year. This project is the collection of new or gently used dog and cat supplies to donate to the Alexandria Animal Shelter. Items donated include: dog or cat food, toys, bowls, treats, leashes, collars, bones, and other miscellaneous items.
This year, her sister, Riley Thomas, who is currently in 4th grade at Nachman Elementary will continue the community project at Nachman while Ayden continues the project at Brame Middle School.
The collection will take place at both schools from December 14-18, 2015. Both girls want you to remember our furry friends in need this holiday season!
