With heavy rain anticipated in Monroe throughout the weekend, the game was moved away from the ULM Sports Complex to protect the field.

ULM (5-7-1, 0-2 SBC) holds a 4-1-1 record in home games this season and has outscored opponents 20-4 in those match-ups. Freshman Jenna Pillon has scored seven goals in the six home contests. She leads the team with 17 points on the season.

The Warhawks enter play ranking 14th in the nation in assists with 34. Cerene Arsenault, Mary Ashton Lembo and Kylie Kukowski each have tallied four assists to lead the team, while Karlea Fehr, Pillon and Allie Dickson have all dished out three.

ULM’s back line has been consistent this year and a point of emphasis. Cameron Stoker (central defender) is the only Warhawk to start every game this season, while Whitney Tuckfield (wing back) and Arsenault (central defender) have started 12 of 13 games. Dickson (wing back) missed three games due to injury, but has started in all 10 games she has played.

The Warhawks, who carry 21 freshmen on the roster, have shown their youth by starting at least eight newcomers in every game this season. They have started nine freshmen in nine of the last 10 contests.

Freshman goalkeeper Holly Mallinson is coming off a 10 save performance in the team’s last game against Georgia State. Mallinson has started 12 of the 13 games in net and has made 58 saves on the season.

The Ragin’ Cajuns (4-5-2, 1-1 SBC) defeated Georgia State 3-0 to open conference play before falling to WKU, 2-0. Freshman Annika Schmidt paces the offense with 10 goals and 22 points on the season.

ULM has won two of its last three home games against UL-Lafayette dating back to 2007. The Warhawks are 2-2-1 all-time against the Cajuns at home.

The Warhawks are expected to return to the ULM Soccer Complex the following weekend for games against Arkansas State (Oct. 11) and UALR (Oct. 13)
