Turn on the Holidays Nov. 23

NatchitochesChristmasThe City of Natchitoches will kick off the holiday season on Saturday, November 23 at Turn on the Holidays, a daylong event including music, food, magic, lights and fireworks.  Turn on the Holidays, the official start to 45 nights of Christmas lights and kick-off of the Natchitoches Tri-Centennial Celebration, is an entire day of free family entertainment in downtown Natchitoches.  Festivities begin at 8:00 a.m. with the last fall market of the Cane River Green Market.  Children activities including free face painting, balloon art, letters to Santa, and a magic show continue into the afternoon.  The Windstorm Band will perform on the riverbank stage leading into the lighting ceremony and fireworks show over Cane River Lake.
