State Police Warn of Area Scam
State police warn of a scam in the area. It tries to get money from victims who are told an arrest warrant has been issued for them or family members.
The caller pretends to be a state trooper or another law enforcement agent. The victim is told to pay for the warrant or face arrest.
State police are asking residents who receive these calls to let them know. But, do not send money.
